First and foremost: their mac and cheese is the best. and i mean, THE BEST mac and cheese in da world. all of their sandwiches and soups are really, really good. salads are yummy but i think you get ripped off for the price and portion. their apples suck. don't even try ordering an apple as your side. you will be presented with a teeny little green round thing that you'll probably mistake for a tennis ball. their bagels are amazing. their pastries are only okay. they are made with frozen stuff and you can pretty much tell that. especially if you've ever had a made from scratch pastry or scone. you'll be pretty sad with their fancy (and expensive) choices. their smoothies are DELICIOUS. smoothies (peach or strawberry especially!), the everything bagel, and their mac and cheese are my #1 choices. i feel like panera's model for order and pick-up is very disorganized and confuses a lot of people. i think it would be to their favor if they brought you your food and then cleared the table instead of having customers up and doing all of this. i argue this for a number of reasons....yikes...i feel a rant brewing so i'll try and wrap it up. panera is very consistent with their food, and i appreciate that. i like knowing what i'm getting. there is something for everyone here and the staff is generally pleasant and helpful.

Really inconsistent service and products here. There was a time around Christmas where I ordered a bread bowl soup, sat down, got called up 5 minutes later saying they were out of bread bowls and had been for like an hour. I've had mealy tomatoes, slimy lettuce, tangy cucumbers, you name it. Then sometimes their product is spot on. This location is the worst for consistency and during the holidays they switch to paper plates and bowls which is odd.

Ohhhh yes, I always loved Panera Bread and that has not changed to this day. I enjoy their atmosphere and mostly importantly their food! I have never been to a Panera Bread that was lacking in food quality or the ambience. The design and mood set by their company is a coffee shop/cafe feel to give customers the relaxed and winding down experience. Their staff members are always extremely friendly and good at what they do. My favorite items to get are their sandwiches and soups, super delicious! Would always come back!

Well if you have ever been to Panera Bread you know what you get! Good treats, decent coffee, lovely salads, great bread bowl soups! The service is usually pretty great too! This was my first time at the Jordan Creek location. I dug the patio and we got a couple coffees and deserts for my wife and mother in law! I got a large Iced coffee which is pretty amazing that they let you self serve it.. So you can put as much ice in as you want or don't want! This gives you a lot of bang for your buck in the coffee department! I dig bang for your buck!

Not very friendly staff. Maybe it was an off day. Got the chicken noodle soup and it was mainly chicken broth with some scraps of noodle and maybe a bit of carrot.

I was there with my 79-year-old mother and it was our first time ever in a Panera Bread restaurant. We needed time to look at the menu and decide what to order. My mother needed extra time because she was having a hard time taking in everything listed on the wall menu. We were there around noon, so the lunch line was steadily growing and a manager stepped up to manage a second cash register and work their way through the group of customers. Initially, I stepped to the side and told the manager we needed a second to decide. When we were ready, we moved back toward the line, but the manager couldn't be bothered with us. We had been too slow to decide and he was busy helping others (was the attitude and look he conveyed to us). Only when another customer was kind enough to allow us to order in front of her, did the manager decide to help us. As for the food: The bread was dry; the lettuce was wilted; the tomatoes were tasteless, and the turkey was flavorless. I really don't know why people like that place. You all need to work on your customer service - for all customers, not just the young ones who are ready to rapidly fire off what they want to order because they have ordered it several times before.

I was craving Panera broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl on a chilly evening, so I placed an online takeout order through the Panera website. +1 for the convinience factor! When I arrived to pick up my order, they were out of a few of the items I ordered (it was like 7:30 pm on a busy weekend day, so it was understandable), but in order to make up for it, they gave my entire order for free! That is fantastic customer service! Overall, I find Panera to be a bit overpriced for the portion size, but with a lack of similar restaurants in the area, Panera wins in my book for best "fast food" soup and sandwich type place in West Des Moines.

I always love the food but the service I received at the register today where eyes were rolled at me to make my decision faster and then literally receiving not even half the amount I paid for.. Horrible.

I can't rave about the service so I docked one star, but I will give four stars for the food. Ordered a you pick two, with Chipotle chicken sandwich, broccoli cheddar soup, and the chips. Chipotle chicken sandwich is great if you like a spicy chicken sandwich. They have a Chipotle sauce in it that gives a nice heat.

This place is so ridiculously over priced and it isn't even that good. The employees are also rude

The sandwiches were good, slightly better than Subway, but smaller because we got the half size with soup. The broccolli cheese soup was awesome. I had to compete with my daughter to finish it. The chilli was ok, but somewhat bland by our standards. My daughter finished the chicken noodle soup before I could taste it. All around us, people were reading, chatting, or engaged in their laptops and smart phones. I don't know for sure if they have free Wi-Fi, but they probably do. We hung out there for about an hour after our meal while we waited for the next train. A great place to relax, get some good food, and kill some time. Had the Creamy Tomato soup with bread on the side - yummy.

Stopped here for soup & a sandwich on a cold rainy day Bread - outstanding! Fresh, doughy, flavorful Sandwich - not a lot of fixins. Few crumbles of Feta, 2 slices of tomato, cucumber, 1 leaf lettuce. Hummus was a thin schmeer as opposed to me considering it an actual ingredient....not an overall fan when the bread is bigger than my fixins. Needs to be an equal ratio! Soup - 2 words: nasty, salty. Got the Garden Veggie & tasted just like Campbell's & this is not a good thing. Super-salty & pre-prepared tasting Guess I was looking for something homemade & I've been spoiled by San Fran Soup Co So huge recommendations for their breads / bagels Skip the soup!
